The PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana, launched in February 2024, brought unprecedented momentum to residential rooftop solar across India. In Rajasthan alone, over 12,000 applications were submitted in the first three months.
Visit pmsuryaghar.gov.in and complete registration. You will need your electricity consumer number (on your JVVNL or AVVNL bill), Aadhaar number, and bank account details linked to Aadhaar. The portal also requires photographs of your roof from at least two angles.
After submission, JVVNL reviews the application and checks whether your connection can support net metering. This typically takes 7 to 15 working days.
Premium Solar Electricals is empanelled under PM Surya Ghar, meaning you can select us directly from the portal. Choosing a non-empanelled installer disqualifies your application from subsidy. Always verify empanelment before signing any contract.
Our team completes your rooftop system in 1 to 3 working days, depending on system size and roof type. After installation, we submit the completion certificate to the portal.
JVVNL schedules a net meter installation visit, which currently takes 3 to 6 weeks in most Jaipur areas.
Once the net meter is commissioned, the subsidy is calculated and credited directly to your bank account. For most residential systems, this takes 30 to 60 days from commissioning.
At Premium Solar Electricals, we handle the entire application process for every customer. You provide us your Aadhaar and electricity bill, and we manage everything else.
